Craving salty foods!

Hey guys, i am 8 days post-op and heres whats going on with me! Im tired of eating Jello,pudding,applesauce and chicken broth, oh yeah and mashed potatoes! I am craving salty foods like crazy! any suggestions to anything other than the above mentioned? Im bored with my current selection! what can i have??? also just wanted to add that i bought the Fruit 2 o sugar free ice cups and they are delicious! its not a pop its kinda like an italian icy! Love them!

Im 3 weeks post op. There are many things you can eat, according to my nutritionist if you can puree it, you can eat it. If you don't want to mess with the blender, try grits, cream of wheat, oat meal, cottage chz small curd, plain yogurt (add a few drops of 100% juice to the last 2 for flavor)....or if you just want a quick fix, get a small spoon of peanut butter and eat it/lick right from the spoon. Baby food is gross, you could go that route, or pick any can veggie you want and mix it in the blender = looks like baby food taste like grown up food, just at a consistancy that won't hurt your healing pouch.

Take a look at my post on 11/28 New ideas for a boring diet. Here are a few ideas: 1) refried beans with melted cheese 2) cottage cheese with pizza sauce and melted cheese 3) scrambled egg with pureed mild salsa and melted cheese I am 8 days post-op and doc cleared me for tose items. Check with yours first, but these items have saved my life! Lori

I just started craving salt 2 days ago (maybe it was because you brought it up...just kidding), and since I can have cheese, I bought Feta cheese which is REAL salty. Cured me right away!
