Tasting is not sinful

Hi everybody! I have several friends who have had the surgery over a year ago, and thought I'd offer a suggestion. When something smells wonderful that the family is eating, dip a spoon in it an lick the back of your spoon; you get a taste of the wonderful food, and amazingly it seems to quench your need or hunger for the food your are craving. As long as it is not a high carb or grease item, you should be fine. I even sucked the juice out of a sliver of beef yesterday, made me feel like I ate it!

Call me a weirdo - but I was dying for a taste of turkey....so I chewed up a small hunk and then spit it out in the garbage. It seemed to satisfy me. I agree with you though - a little taste is fine.

OMG! That is sooo what my husband did on Thanksgiving, at the dinner table. He was THRILLED, because he said it made his craving for a Turkey dinner go away. He had mashed potatoes in Turkey broth at the table with us (mostly broth, but a little taters) but he said the act of chewing made him feel better!
