I need help !!!!!!
thanks maria
28.5 pounds in 3 weeks is great, congratulations! I don't think one episode of bingeing is gonna' ruin this for you, and the "head hunger" thing is still a mystery to me, so can't help you on that one. Don't beat yourself up for a temporary bout of insanity, forgive yourself and go on, just try not to do it on a regular basis, that's how we ended up her in the first place you know. Again, congratulations on your progress so far!
Maria, I am 3 months post-op and I have lost 70lbs. Started at 303lbs. I used to be so hungry I thought I was gonna faint, I got sick at my stomach if I didn't eat, then I couldnt eat too much. My doctor tells me it is all in my head. Now my pouch is a little bigger and I can drink more water and eat a little more food, sometimes only. I'm not as hungry as I was at 1 month post-op. My first month was the worst thing that I haved suffered thru in a long time. As time passes it gets so much better.
addie,
that is sooooo great!!!!! 70 POUNDS WOW!!!! i cant wait till i get there.
sometimes i feel as if i am starved, but then im like i thought we werent suppose to get hungry. but i guess it is in our heads and also old habits.
i realize this wls is tool and i did not go through all this to go back to my old ways. this site has been a life saver. everyone has been wonderful.

Hi! I had my surgery on 11/4 and so far I have lost around 20 pounds. I think I have hit a plateau as well. But I have read that everything is such a drastic shock to our bodies, that it takes awhile to catch up. who knows...
I had a similiar experience w/ eating.. I didn't really binge.. just sorta grazed on thanksgiving. I did really well all day except for a 3hr time frame. So i guess to put that in perspective, last thanksgiving I grazed ALLLLL day long... But I felt really bad afterwards. Yesterday was a bit better, but Today I am back on track. Don't beat yourself up.. IT took alot for us to get where we are and it's going to be alot to get us out of it. Tomorrow is a new day!! God Bless!! Melissa

hi,
20 pounds, thats great!!!!!!!
ive read on one of the post that after this shock that our bodies are going thru that the weight will come off, so thats where were at. its amazing i feel or go thru different emotions or feelings and think im the only one and then i go on the site and realize alot of people experience the same thing and get past it. and then eventually so do i.
what are you eating at this stage now. yesterday i had the inside of an italian hero (it was one of those 6 ft hero, so the slices were thin)
i was fine after eating it but then i was like was this the right thing to do to soon. but i felt fine so well see.
im thankful to God for every day of life.
God bless,
maria
Hi! I am eating meatloaf right now.. well it's ground turkey. It's really good. I have been eating sliced deli turkey w/ cheese rolled up, I made chili w/ ground turkey and cheese on top.. I made chicken and let it bake till it was really tender and then I topped w/ pizza sauce and mozz. cheese.. that was really good. I had a couple of crackers in my chili... So far everything agrees w/ me.
Isn't it nice to see that we aren't the only ones feeling how we do?? Good Luck and GOd Bless, Melissa
OMG, it is so good to hear you guys talk about this!! I am 13 days out and have spent a lot of time on the main message board and chat room, but nothing helps like hearing from someone else going through this stage of the game!! I have ALL of these feelings!! I am hungry but know I shouldn't be. I think I eat too fast as well. I finally called the surgeon's office today and told the nurse I want to go to a nutrition class and have someone "watch" me eat and tell me if I am doing okay! I threw up yesterday some foamy stuff and found out this past Friday that reheated turkey is a MAJOR no-no!! Who knew?? I was told I could start soft foods today and I am so worried that I am doing everything wrong. I found out I have a UTI and am now on antibiotics. I have gone through the "what did I do" phrase in my head a million times since getting home. Physically, I feel great. As if I never even had the surgery! But this food stuff is driving me nuts. My doctor says I just cannot eat over 6oz and only 3 meals a day. I ate a little bit of Wendi's chili today and for breakfast had about 2 oz of cottage cheese. I know I can eat more, but I am afraid I am not doing a good job of controlling myself. Everyone on the boards say that they were not hungry and that they got full right away and couldn't eat too much. I feel I am always starving!! I pray I figure this out soon. I know this is complaining, but I was really disappointed to find out I only lost 12.5lbs my first week and so far this week (as of yesterday), I only lost another 3.5lbs. I was really bummed. I know I should be grateful, but just wished it were more to keep me motivated, you know? Anyway, sorry so long winded, but I just wanted to THANK YOU so much for helping me feel normal!! That is not a feeling I have been having lately!!
