1 WEE****IL THE BIG DAY!
WOW AM I NERVOUS!
One more week and I will be on the losing side... I am very excited but the nerves have decided to take over! I just hope I don't break down before then. I am a pretty level headed woman but I have never had surgery before! I just need to focus on the outcome
I started the cabbage soup diet that my doctor requires one week before surgery. It is o.k. I will make it!
SOMEONE HELP ME WITH MY NERVES!!!!!!

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{[Jennifer}}}}}}}}} I am one week out and that last week before surgery was HELL on my nerves!!!! I honestly believe that the anxiety was worse than the actual outcome. I am off my pain meds and just took a nice little walk around the block. You will come through this just fine. Just remember that each day it will get better after surgery and everything is temporary. As I was getting nervous at preop, I tried a little meditation and deep breathing, it worked wonders. You have come far to make this dceision. Remind yourself of all the reasons why you want/need to have this surgery. That should help. Can't wait to hear from you on the other side!!!!!!

TRY NOT TO GET YOURSELF TO WORKED UP. I HAD MY SURGERY ON NOV.9TH AND AM DOING GREAT. I HAD VERY LITTLE PAIN AND ONLY FOR THE FIRST 2 DAYS. I DIDNT EVEN NEED TO TAKE PAIN MEDS. I HAD NO VOMITING AND HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET DOWN ALMOST ALL FOOD IM SUPPOSED TO. I WAS EVEN BACK AT WORK 6 DAYS AFTER MY SURGERY. EVERYBODY IS DIFFERENT BUT TRY TO STAY POSITIVE AND NOT LET THOOSE FEARS OVERCOME YOU, THATS WHAT I DID AND I THINK THAATREALLY HELPED WITH MY QUICK RECOVERY. I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST AND KMOW YOU WILL COME THROUGH IT JUST FINE. KAREN
