16 Days since surgery....

It's been 16 days since my surgery and I'm feeling really good. I must have had an with me. It all seems a little surreal that I've actually done this. But couldn't be much happier. My family has been by my side the whole time. I'm down 18 lbs and off 7 of my medications, only 2 left. I'll really be happy when I'm done with the last 2. This is the beginning of a new chapter for me. I'm wishing a great and speedy recovery for you all. Patricia K. Bye for now

Oh Patricia! ! ! Congratulations. How are you feeling when you walk around? I'm getting mine done ( lap band) in December. Hope you are feeling great and ready for a TRUE thanksgiving...one in which we are thank-FULL that we have some truly believable weight loss options...after all these years of guilt! Hugs. Gail

CONGRAD ON UR SURGERY 1 QUESTION IM VERY NERVOUS IM HAVING MINE DONE NOV 29 AND I READ THE MESSAGE BOARDS AND ALOT OF PEOPLE TALK ABOUT THE PAIN IS IT REALLY THAT BAD!!!!!!

Hi Laura For me the pain wasn't that bad, my surgery was on Tuesday and the last pain medicine I took was on Friday of the same week. I'm sure you'll do fine. Be sure to get up and walk several times, that helps with the pain and healing. I'll be thinking of you. Let me know how is goes when you get back home. Hugs to you and best wishes Patricia

congratulations...my surgery is on nov 22...I am so nervous...lap rny...what sort of foods did you eat when you returned home from the hospital?

Hi Patricia, Congratulations! I'm 17 days post op and wow - what a difference I already feel! 26 lbs! I feel like this surgery has been a gift! I love hearing others who have done well also! By this time next year, we'll be a couple of skinny girls!!! Whoo Hoo!!!! Hugs! Shellianne
