New to this/surgery 11/30
I am new to this site , obesityhelp.com and first time to post to board. This group has given me the FIRST encouragement regarding my pending surgery. My DD is against it and won't talk to me about it. She thinks I should be able to stay on a diet to lose the weight. My whole life has been a diet! My DH and Sons don't know much about it. They think Mom is Supermom. I have been persuing this outcome for over a year of ups and downs. And not much support. I have discovered the support group sponsered by my Doctor and this group. I should have found you all sooner. Anyone going throught this process , find some support. It's a hard journey alone. Kathy
Don't I know it!!!! I've been researching every single day since January (2004) and every single appointment, every single set back, every single EVERYTHING was ME! NO ONE helped me with anything! And im only 18!
Im so proud of myself! And EVERYONE in my family said it'll NEVER happen, and NO surgeon will go near me because "all" i do is "sit and eat fast food". Well, here i am switched! 
I showed them!!! Although the last couple of months they (my mom and dad) HAVE been more supportive of it because they know its the only realistic thing thats going to get me slim! So my dad was with me through the ENTIRE surgery! We drove to Delano (4 1/2 hours away!) and we stayed for 8 days, and he was there through everything! Anyways, my advice, KEEP FIGHTING! I went through alot of hoops also! Read my profile!!!

Ok let me say I started reseaching this site in april 2004 and I was looking like this when I started 
researching then when I found this site Wow what an relief.Because my boyfriend is so against this surgery I had no one to talk with or about it. Now I feel 
about having this surgery because I kept my mind made up kept going to doctors appointments my date is Nov 30th rather they like it or not so now my boyfriend is ok about it he went to my workshop yesterday with me and told me today he had fun
