6 Days Away

Well.. my surgery is now only 6 days away.. having it on the 23rd.. I can't believe it is almost here. Anyone else having surgery on the 23rd? Maybe we can get the pre-surgery jitters together!! Any advice from post ops who are early out would be great too! Is there anything that you really used or wished you had in the hospital or when you got home? HEY Tracey I am only 8 days post op and I first wanted to wish you the best of luck for you new adventure and also wanted to tell you a few things I think helped for the hospital. I had a picture with me of my boys and husband and i got to take the with me to the OR and I had my own pillow and also i wish i has my own phone card so that I could call someone when I just need to vent. other then that there was nothing else i think i needed. I am wondering where you are having surgery? I was offered the same date but decided I wanted to be with family on Turkey day. I am having mine 11/30 with Dr. DiMarco in Harrisburg, PA. I have been having doubts about going thru with this but have rec'd encouragement from members of this site. I hope all goes well and I will be praying for you. Kathy

I AM 5 DAYS OUT !!! WAITING IN CALIFORNIA, SAN DIEGO. I AM SO EXCITED !!!!! I LAUGH ALL THE TIME !!!!! I WEIGHT 375, AND CAN NOT WAIT TO LOSE & KNOW IT IS NOT COMING BACK YAAAAAA!!!!! I AM HAVING A GARAGE SELL ON SATURDAY. TO MAINLY KEEP ME BUSY. BUT I AM ACTING LIKE A PREGNANT MOM, NESTING. MY HUSBAND COMES HOME AND HAS NO IDEAL WHAT I HAVE DECIEDE TO REARRANGE. SURPRISE !!! Hi Tracey, I'm scheduled for the 23rd also!!! Hey, maybe we can compare notes as post ops. I'm soooo excited to finally have my surgery. This journey has been an emotional roller coaster, hasn't it? I've cried, laughed, felt scared, relieved, everything at once. All we have to focus on is why we are doing this and how much our quality of life is going to improve.
