I'm 10 days out and I've lost 20 pounds! yipee~! This seems to be the magical day for me, day 10. I feel SOOOOooooo much better. I've been "upright" for most of the day. Not doing too much around the house, but at least I can straighten a little here and there and I did some dishes. I'm begining to feel 'normal' again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's a little list of what I am eating: *cream chicken soup *sf jello *sf pudding (vanilla) yum *chicken broth (Better than Broth brand) *my protein shake (4 oz. 1% milk, about an inch of a frozen banana, 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein, all blended in blender) *sf popsicles (dole fruit juice brand is good) *unsweatened apple sauce *homemade (by a friend of mine) egg drop soup *refried beans from local taqueria (very smooth, no chunks) just started this tonight Last night I had unsweatened apple sauce (although my pouch didn't seem happy with it, I don't know if it was too cold or what. I might wait to do that again.. but I hadn't pooped in two days so I thought it would do me good... and guess what? I pooped today!) Donna 255/235/135 weight before surgery/weight now/goal weight

Congratulations! I'm 8 days out and I'm afraid to weigh myself..I gained 15 pounds while in the hospital. I got to start on full liquids yesterday, yippee! I am craving REAL food. I never dreamed I would even feel hungry, let alone crave stuff at this point. I'm not having any problem getting in enough fluids either, and luckily have had zero bowel problems except for gas, and I can live with that. I do feel very fatigued still, taking naps every day. It's been a different experience so far, not like what I expected. Anyhoo..best of luck!

Donna, That's awesome!! I've moved into the soft food realm and love it. I've done cheese, vienna sausages, protein drinks, eggs, and hummus. Hummus is my friend...soft and smooth, really tasty and filling. I get to see the doc later today and hope that I've dropped at least a few pounds. I'm kinda wondering if I am one of those "gained in the hospital" folks but we will see! Sharon

Big congrats to you!!! Keep up the good work. I am pre-op and scheduled for the 29th of this month. I am having lap rny and am scared to death. I hear folks like you guys talking and I feel so much better. I know that God will be with me. I pray that as you go on your "losing" journey that you will have few problems and tons of successes. I know you can do it. Hugs and God bless, Linda Ford Virginia
