Newbie, in for SAGB Nov 19th!!

Hi I'm new to this forum, and I am scheduled for the Swedish Adjustable Gastic Band (like the LapBand, but another company) on Friday! It will be done through laproscopy (yahoo!). I'm an American living in France. I am very lucky, as the cost is pretty much paid by the Social Security system, and I didn't have any problems getting approved because I have a BMI of 42. There are French forums (this surgery is much more common in France than in the US, I think), but I prefer reading and typing in my native language. I haven't really talked much about my operation with family or friends, I just started telling people last week that I wouldn't be around for a while. So I am nervous, but also very happy. I read somewhere that there is 90% satisfaction with this kind of surgery, I sure hope that I am in that 90%! Now I'm going to snoop around your site! Thanks Anne

Thanks for your encouragement all. I am still trying to work out this site (which is wonderful, but has its own personality...!! ) . Once I get it I'll be posting more... but for the moment... I have lost some posts that three kind people sent me - !!
