Hello All, I currently take medication for depression, Efferox XR. It's in a capsule form. Just wondering if anyone has had any problems taking it after surgery? Like do you just swallow it like normal or have you had opened the capsules and put the medication in food? To quit taking the medication at this point is not an option for me. Would appreciate any feed back on this issue. Cyndee

My surgeon told me I can take it with warm water and the warm water will dissolve the capsule. Effexor forever...it is also my wonder drug of choice! Best wishes!

I open mine and put it in something I am eating (all in one spot) and eat it that way. The warm water the other person mentioned sounds good, too. I have even swallowed some. I need it for now. Susan
