Hello to all! Can you all believe of all days for me to have my period! I have been without it for a month and a half already and low and behold it creeps up on me this morning! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'm having surgery tomorrow! Do you all think I might be cancelled because of this???? PLEASE Has this happened to anyone? OT: I've been a good girl today and yesterday, well almost. I had protein shake for breakfast and a grilled chicken salad last night and so far today just protein shake and water. Just wanted to let you all know! Take care everyone, and God Bless you all! No they wont cancel b/c of that. Many start thiers the day of or after surgery even if it is not time for it b/c of the stress of surgery.

Don't worry about it! My sister started her period while she was in the hospital. I will probably be on my period for my surgery too. I am supposed start on the 23rd, and my surgery is on the 29th. Not to worry...you will be okay!!! Good luck tomorrow...you are in my prayers!

I started my period two days prior to surgery I know how you feel!!!!! First, let them know when you check into the hospital prep room (where they do your IV etc... ) I wore a tampon. I told the nurse and she said they would remove it prior to the catheter, but I would be out... the indignity of it all! After surgery they tried to get me to wear these mesh panties that are made to fit someone up to maybe 215... but not 255! I just took them off and had them put something underneath me to let it go... they just cleaned me up a few times and I did it after that... but I still had the cath. in so I could not wear a tampon. My prayers are with you for your surgery, Donna
