Ready to go in a week - Nov 17th

Hey, I am surprisingly calm about next Wednesday. Sleeping so well! Extremely busy at work, too much to take care of there before my leave of absence and no time to think of surgery. Wish me luck!

Judy, I see your BMI is below 40. Mine too. Glad you are approved by insurance! I was approved too, however was afraid will not be.

Joanie, Did you cancel your surgery??? I am so sorry your financing did not work out. I am also "light-weight" - 235 lb and my BMI is below 40. I have HealthNet Charter, everybody says it is good insurance for this kind of surgery. I was approved with no problem. Actually even before I finished with the appointments for specialists. I will pray for you, something has to work out for you!!!

hey there, I have surgery on the 17th as well. Good luck to you, I hope you have a speedy recovery. I have a question for you, are you going on a liquid diet right before surgery? I have read several postings from different people and they all seem to be. I have to say I feel kinda in teh dark about this. Do you have any suggestions? I am going to my first support group meeting thursday evening and my surgeon is gonna be ther, and I intend on picking his brain too, but I like to get other peoplese opion too. Lena, My surgery is also on the 17th at Caritas Hospital. I wish you all the luck in the world. My prayers are with all of you that will be having surgery. My pre-op diet is not going so well, I am starving. (lol) Kim

Thanks Kim. Know what you are talking about. Starving too. Had to get off Adipex-P that was decreasing my appetite, and now going crazy, I am so hungry all the time! Even when I am not, I want to eat... I dread the liquid diet I have to be on for 24 hrs prior... Best of luck to you!
