Anyone getting sick?

Ugh! I posted a reply to someone a couple weeks ago; they were sick and worried that their surgery would be post-poned. Well this past week I was working a lot and did not get my sleep quota in. Now I am sick with either a cold or influenza. I have a sore throat, coughing, low-grade fever, and headache. I am so upset and worried that I may not be in tip-top shape before surgery. Of course the stress from worrying will not help the situation, but make it worse. I am going to the after hours clinic tomorrow. It really stinks being like this just 2 weeks before surgery.

I think I'm the lucky recipient of your reply! I had PAT's done last Wednesday and got a script for zithromax because I still hadn't shook that nasty old bug...I still don't feel exactly 100%, but I'm scheduled for surgery Monday at 0600. I'm a little concerned because I just cannot get my incentive spirometer up where I should consistently, and you know how easy post-op pneumonia sets in. I've got my fingers crossed, and am taking my pills, my inhalers, my fluids, my vitamins, my everything religiously. I have had such a tough time getting to this place, that I don't want to tempt fate! Get thyself to thine healer, woman, and best of luck! sherry
