Hi Cindy, I too have received the November 30, 2004, surgery date. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. I will be having my surgery in New Orleans, LA at Ochsner. How about you? In the back of my mind I keep thinking that something is going to happen to stop the surgery. Trying to get a grip. How about you? Are you nervous? Good Luck and best wishes.

Cindy...congrats!!! I am having lap RNY on the 29th. I am hoping it gets here very soon!!! I want to get it over with so I can start my new way of living! I am trying to get ready for Christmas before I go in...for just in case. BUT I am so busy doing every day stuff I can't seem to squeeze shopping in. I am planning on going to shop the day after Thanksgiving...hopefullyhere will be great sales here!!! You are going to do great! You will be feeling awesome for Christmas and the new year!! Congrats again!!

This is my first day on this site, and I am scheduled for November 30. Did anyone have to attend nutrition classes prior to the surgery date? My surgeon in Philadelphia requires them, and I am attending on Monday, November 8. Best wishes to everyone as you prepare for a lifestyle change for eating and exercise habits. Amy

Yes, I had to meet with a nutritionist before my surgeon scheduled me for surgery! Congratulations!

Hello Cindy, I,too, am scheduled for November,30,2004. I am nervous, yet very excited, all at the same time. My first drs. visit was in July,so I have had alot of time to compare the advantages & the risks. I also made the mistake of looking at the ones who have lost their lives,due to the complications of the surgery. I have prayed,alot & still praying,but I am still anxiously awaiting surgery.
