Nov 22 anyone??
Hello everyone!
I am beginning to think I am the only person who didn't schedule the first date available! I scheduled myself right before Thanksgiving back in early October, so it would help us with childcare arrangements. There were only about 4 or so people even on the November board at that time. My surgeon's office offered Nov 4 as the first available; it sure was tempting, but I was a good mother and wife instead.
I was wondering if anyone out there shared my date. Write if you do! I'd love to share this journey with you!

Lori- I am November 15th and had scheduled that at the end of Spetember. Like you I needed time for child care arrangements, plus I am going to an out of town wedding November 5th. When I first came to the board there were not too many people but it certainly is getting busier. Some people in my family think I am crazy for having it right before Thanksgiving but ya know what, food got me into this trouble in the first place and I am not letting it control my life anymore!!! LOL

Janet,
I have to say I laughed at your comment about food controlling you. Can you imagine scheduling after the holidays just so you can "enjoy" the holidays? I think I will still find a way to enjoy them (snicker). I guess it will be a great learning lesson, a test to see if I can resist all the yummy foods. Also a lesson to what will happen when I break the rules if I try to cheat!

Kendal & Maureen,
Well it looks like we are surgery triplets! How fun is that?! I have been hoping for a twin, especially as I see all the other people hooking up with their "twins." I guess our dates are close enough for that to happen now. I am such a blabbermouth so you already know how I am feeling on the other post ('Am i the only one not excited...'). How are you ladies doing?

Make that quadruplets! I waited until the 22nd because of work and a scheduled vacation. They had earlier dates, but I didn't want to be on liquids while on vacation! So the 22nd worked out great. Plus my sister is taking me to the hospital and picking me up. With Thanksgiving that week - she only has to take one vacation day!
I've been sick for 3 weeks (feeling better now) but am worried about my surgery getting postponed f I am not completely well. I hope it goes as planned.
Congrats to us all!

Hello Kim!
Welcome to out quintuplet group! For some weird reason, this is what I think I have been hoping and waiting for...a group of us who are all going through virtually the same thing at the very same time. What a perfect support group! At any time we want to open discussion for our group, all we have to do it put Nov 22 in the title somewhere!
I read your profile, and would love to know more about you when you are able to add more. Maybe we could all 5 put ourselves in an email ring. If all of us submit an email to me then I can set that up.
I think it is wonderful that your mom is helping with the self-pay since you are a grad student. She is truly impacting your quality of life. And the insurance company, I'd hire a lawyer and fight them all the way if their plan says it is covered. I also had a problem with mine saying they would cover and then changing their mind. I was prepared to seek an attorney for the appeal if necessary, and in the end they approved me (thank God!).
Welcome to the group!
P.S. Everybody raid the Halloween candy for your last time and don't feel a bit guilty! Happy Halloween!
