Would like to hear from others with this date

Hi Alton, Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. My surgery is schedule for NOVEMBER 17 also. My Dr. is Poplawski from Ypslanti Michigan. I've been waiting 8 months. Now I finally have a date. I don't think it's sunk in yet. When I think about it I get kinda nervous. Do you? e-mail me tell me about you situation. Kay

The 17th is my date too! Anniston, AL with Dr. Freeman. My emotions have run from one extreme to the other since I got my date! All of this has gone so fast for me, that I have a hard time letting it all sink in at times. I found this Website, searched for a doctor, did my research, chose Dr. Freeman. Then, I found out that he was the doctor who did WLS on 2 ladies I use to go to church with. Their surgeries were in this past March, and they are doing wonderfully. I phoned Dr. Freeman's office, and was able to go to a seminar the next week. Within a week, I had my other appointments (nutrition, psyc., etc.) and the following week, I had my surgical date. This week, I found out that my insurance company denied me, so my doctor's office is filing an appeal. Even if I end up being a private pay patient, I'm having my surgery done on the 17th. I turn 50 on 11/12, and man, what a birthday gift I'll be getting! I look forward to getting to know the other November babies here. Donna P
