My surgery date is November 1st and I have been: Taking my vitamins and switching over to the more easily absorbed products. Eliminated sugar (candy and desserts) completely from my diet. Actually I made this decision about 1 month ago and I haven't missed it AT ALL. I've been buying my protein supplements, but I haven't tasted any simply because I heard that tastes change after surgery - maybe I should try them anyway. I've also been stocking up on broth, SF jello, Natural applesauce, Crystal Light, juice etc. I walk 2 miles per day at least 4 days a week. And I pray always! Mary B.

Hi Teresa. My date is November 10th also. I bought some more protein powder today and I'm getting my applesauce and vitamins. etc. Also I bought some plasti**** trays to freeze some blenderized food for later when I can eat that. Each ice cube size is about 1 ounce. I'm afraid when my mom comes to help take care of me afterward, she'll give me something accidentally that will make me dump. I make a shake with almond milk, protein powder, Udo's Oil, and Benefiber. I can add a banana now but later I'm sure that the banana will be out. I have my pre-op on 11/4. I'm having a bit of a hard time sleeping lately. I know it's nerves. Anyway, good luck with your surgery!
