Yipppeeee - I have a date - Thursday, November 4th, 2004 - A day to Remember!!!

Hi, I am so excited to have gotten a date so quickly. Persistance on my part to get things accomplished paid off for me. I had my First consult with Surgeon on Saturday, my Psych Eval on Tuesday, and my Sonogram and Bloodwork on Wednesday (today) and got my surgery date today as well!!! I am so elated, exstatic, you name it, all the emotions are running together. I can't wait. I feel like God provided a miracle (tool) for me and this surgery is it. When all other diets failed, I know I will succed in losing my weight after all these years of dieting with no success at keeping the weight off. Finally there is an answer for me and that is the LAP RNY surgery!!! I wish they would have had this 20 years ago...well they did, but it is more perfected today. And, I am a firm believer that...everything happens for a reason. So I am just thankful that I can have it done now.

Hi Rhonda, Thank you for your kind reply. I am so excited, NOV. 4th---MY new motto "Life begins at 50"!!! Surgery is 25 days before I turn 50, oh what a nice Birthday Present. Good luck on your journey. Have you had many complications as far as getting things done and a surgery date? I read your profile, but you didn't say too much, only about how well you liked the surgeon/consult. visit and how they goofed you up with another woman about a mamogram. I will be posting more as new things pop up for me. Stay happy and know that "we" are doing the right thing! Audrey
