HELLO ALL! I'M BAAACK!!

Hello to all, I have update my profile and jsut wanted to let everybody know that this depression is not going to kick my a**. I want to apologize to everyone whom I let down. I pushed this site away and all the support that came with it. And I feel terrible for that, I need everyone here and I need the wonderful support. I hope everyone has a happy 4th! Take care! I applaud your strength Barbara. I'm from Maiden and I feel since we live so close we're kindred spirits! Hang in there and don't give up, you are strong, you've done this before and you can do it again. My surgery is scheduled for August 23, 2004 and I need a friend like you to help with my support system. I have a wonderful 28 year old daughter who had this surgery on 11/20/02 and she is down 150 lbs and doing great! She is my best friend and support but you can never get enough. My surgery will be at Northeast Medical Center in Concord, NC. My surgeon is Dr. Roc Bauman. My daughter went to him and he is absolutely wonderful! I told her then if I ever had wls I would go to him but at the time he didn't take my insurance (Medcost Preferred). He started taking Medcost on March 1, 2004 and I called as soon as I found out to get my consultation appointment. The rest is history. You have a good 4th and I'll talk to you soon! Lynne

There you are stranger! I have been so worried about you. I had emailed months ago, never to get a reply. I've been checking your profile to see if you've updated. I just didn't know what was going on. I finally went to my first Support Group meeting June 27th. I was so looking forward to meeting you in person. None of my online buddies were there. . . accept for one. Depression is a ***** I know. I've been on anti-depressants off and on for over 10 years. And I'm sure you know now, that shutting out those who love you may not always be the way to go. But at the same time YOU have to get right with YOURSELF. Do you do the therapy thing? I highly recommend it. I was thankful I had the additional 6 months of counseling with my psych prior to surgery. It probably saved my life. If you don't or can't do therapy, turn it all to God! I can't possibly imagine how it would feel to lose my daughter to her father, but you have to take care of yourself so that one day you can take care of your daughter. If you fall apart now, the court will never give her back to you. Just work on YOU! Do what Barbara needs to do to be happy physically, emotionally, spiritually. Sounds like you have a great support system with your husband. Your lucky! But please don't keep things bottled up. You are such a sweet woman! I'm a great listener and can give the greatest advice, even though I may not always follow it myself, but I'm here for you dawg. OH LISA THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!! I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU AT THE NEXT MEETING. I SO WANTED TO ATTEND THE OTHER MEETINGS, BUT I JUST DIDN'T HAVE THE HEART, I FEEL LIKE SUCH A LOSER BY RUINING MY ONE CHANCE AT BEING HEALTHY AND SLIM. I DID GO TO WALMART THIS EVENING AND RESTOCKED ON MY VITAMINS AND CALCUIM. I HAVE TO GET IT BACK TOGETHER, YOU ARE SO RIGHT, IF I AM NOT HEALTHY AND SANE, THERE IS NO WAY I WILL EVER GET RACHEL BACK. I'm sorry things have been tough on you and your family, if you ever need an ear, just call. I'm really proud of your success this far. Please know, my buddy I work with lost 92 lbs, didn't lose any more for 4 mnths and has now lost a total of 160! She had her surgery Jan 2002. She knows her pouch is a bit bigger than it was, so she chugs the shakes, and when she falls off the wagon with a cookie or two, she walks an extra mile that week for each cheat!
