I finally got over my 3 weeks of not losing and weight myself this AM and was down another 5 lbs, so i am now down to 216, hey only 4 more lbs and i am in the half century club.
with my weight of 216 that puts me at a BMI that is at the top scale of the 'obese' category, but hey, i will take it.
i am sitting here laughing at myself cause I lost 5lbs. lol. I am glad i have resolved to weigh myself only 2x a month. at least this way I wont get as disappointed, i hope.

Robin, YOU GO GIRL!!! Sounds like you are doing wonderfully! It is such an exciting thing to be able to fit in 'normal' clothes. I did a first this past Sat., I went to Victoria's Secrets and bought size XL undies....OH MY!!! HOW EXCITING THAT WAS!!! Um, not real sure if it's gonna be a good thing for my pocketbook though! LOL....
Keep up your hard work!!!
P.S. I too had my surgery 11 weeks ago today, and am down 56-58 lbs.
Topic: RE: Stress
Oh baby! Stress can DEFINITELY affect your new tummy! That was good advice to try the Paxil. I personally do not take it, but don't be afraid of a good pharmeceutical. THANK GOD we live in an age when you can actually do something so simple as to take a pill to ease your plight!
Topic: RE: Streaching you new pouch
Read around this site and you will find that some doc's will tell you it can stretch and other will say it cannot...There seems to be some disagreement on what "stretching" means anyway...Is it the volume of food you can eat a YEAR after surgery vs. Immediately post op? Of course that will be different...does that mean it STRETCHED. In my mind, NO. It means you've HEALED. Frankly, I'm very bitter about all of these doctors abusing their authority and scaring the hell out of people. Eat sensibly. Eat slowly. Drink your water. Move your rear end each day into a good sweat...and never look back. If you doubt or question your doctor's advice, do your research and QUIZ HIM. Make him PROVE he knows what he's talking about.

Post-op. Surgery 11.14.03. Down 49 pounds so far...(244-195)
Topic: More Mini Goals Met!!!!!!!!
Hello Everyone,
I'm down 42.5 lbs in 11 weeks, 175.5. Several years ago I lost the same amount of weight and it took well over 6 months. I was doing the slimfast thing, working out like a mad women getting up at 5:30am every morning, taking in no more than 1000 cal, being a B*@%H to everyone because I was ALWAYS HUNGERY. And you guessed, it as soon as I started eating 'normal' and not working out like a mad women it all came back. I think I stayed at that weight for 2 weeks before the scale started going up again. Well today I got on the scale and I'm at that same weight! And I know that the scale will keep going DOWN!!!!!!!!!
My next Mini Goal is to get to 150. That was my hightest when I was in high school. After that is 135, that was what I got down to when I was on Jenny Craig back in 1989. After I meet the 135 goal I don't know what to set from there because I've never been any lower than that.
I need to babble a little more and tell about another mini goal that I've met. For the longest time I've had to wear women's plus size underwear, you know the "Just My Size" stuff. Well today I can FINALLY fit into regular size underwear. Now they are a size 10 but it's the regular size 10's. The "Just My Size" 10's were SOOOOOOOO big it was like I had on 'grannie panities'. I know that the men are just thrilled to read this, LOL, but sorry it's a BIG thing to me and maybe other ladies out there to reach this part in their WLS path. I've been waiting a long time till I could wear some sexy underthings and night gowns.
Ok babbling over.
Have a Great Day!!!!!!!

Topic: 3 months out today
Well gang, I am three months out today and I am down 72 unbelievable pounds! My neighbor came over and brought me some size LARGE jeans. I laughed and said ''OK I'm doing good, but not THAT GOOD!!''
Wow, makes me feel great to think that she thinks I'm a large woo hoo! I am definitly in a much smaller size clothes (28 jeans at Lane Bryant to 20 at old navy) but it is hard for me to notice a difference on my body. Even though the rest of the world notices, and tells me. I am just starting to believe that this is REAL!! It is so wonderful!
Thank GOD for WLS!!!!
Take care all, Kristen
Topic: RE: 9 weeks post op......can eat alot more...a little worried
I have the same worries. I'll be post-op 3 months on 2/4. I had complications & had to have a second surgery, yada, yada, yada, so it took me a little longer to feel the desire for more food, but I do. I worry about it, and I'm glad to see people who are in the same calorie range as me! I can eat some carbs, but if I eat the "simple" carbs, I pay for it -- as in it comes back up for a few hours, leaving me exhausted. I never know what it's gonna do! Good luck to you!!
