throw that scale away or take it somewhere (any new friends in San Diego yet?) and keep it at their house. Or have your husband take it to work and only bring it home every other week. My husband and I weigh in twice a month at the bariatrics office that we went thru to have surgery. I am refusing to buy a scale, even though now I can USE a regular scale since I'm under 300lbs!! But I have seen a lot of people on here get stressed out by weighing themselves daily. Take care and take a hammer to the scale! Love ya! Kristen

Way to go Heather! That is awesome! I think I need to do what you are doing and only weigh myself 2x a month. I am so ready to throw the damn thing out the door some mornings. I just sit there and say "do you realize I only eat a 1/4 of what I used to eat and you are sitting at the same weight day after day". Anyway, keep up the great work! Just be patient, trust me I know how hard it is, I really do, but we all have come a long way! ~~Eileen~~

Way to go Kristen! You are kicking butt!! I am so very happy for you. My 3 month was on Tuesday (2/4) and I was down 55 lbs. I hit this kinda small platue back in December, then dropped 20, and now, it's just creeping again. I am hoping that it will start to drop again very SOON. I know I am still losing inches. I have been bad lately on my water, and protien, and exercise (I am failing myself here). I am still trying to adjust to our move here to San Diego, plus look for a job, plus get used to my husbands ship being in and out and dealing with our separtations. It's all just a bit overwhelming. Anyway to the other ladies who posted here, thank you. I am glad to see that there are others right in the same range as me, and it gives me encouragment. Kristen, you are an encouragement too! You have done so well! Keep up the great work! Please keep us updated! ~~Eileen~~

Congratulations!! I'm 3 months out today (2/4) and I don't know what I weigh. Last month I weighed in at -40 lbs., I'm hoping this month I'll lose at least 13 lbs. -- that would put me at 199 lbs.!! My pre-surgery pants (size 22) can now be removed by pulling them off without unbuttoning & unzipping them. I call them my party favor pants I'm fitting into 18 pants that I still had from previous weight loss attempts, and my tops are all falling off. When I go shopping I can't make myself try on pants because in my head they all look too small to fit. The mind really doesn't have time to catch up to the body. I've tried on a few blazers. The 14s fit but are a little snug, but the 16s are a little too big (plus sized 14s and 16s, that is). Good luck on your continued journey. Happy Anniversary to Us!!

Hee hee, you make me laugh. I'm obese too and proud of it! I feel like wearing a shirt that says something like, I may be obese now, but I WAS morbidly obese yesterday!

Everybody loses different. You are doing really good. I had surgery on 11/3/03,weight was 252 pre op. Now I'm at 212,which is good. Keep up the good work! Remember protein~water~vitiamins~exercise~ these are the 4 main ingredient to werght loss!

Melanie, Thank you so much for your email. It meant alot to me. I am doing alittle better now. I still feel blue at times but, it is so great to have someone I can chat with. It is now the 3rd of February and I have lost a total of 73lbs. I was wearing a size 28-30, now I am into a 22 and it is getting alittle loose too. I was 317lbs. and now am 244lbs. I have been stuck here for about a week or so. I have been doing alittle more now than I was, so maybe it will help get me on track again. I guess I will just have to give my mind alittle more time to catch up on the realization of the weight that I have lost. You said something about you being able to breath better while having sex. Well it don't bother me none for you to say anything like that. In a matter of fact you are going to be the first person I am going to tell this to so here goes... I have not been able to have sex with my husband face to face in almost 9 years. I am happy to report that I no longer have to worry about such things as that.. OH Yeah! Our time together has never been better. It seems like we are getting to know each other over again. Isn't that wonderful!!!! Life is great one day at a time. Keep up the good work and try to email me back. Thanks for being a friend. Love to You, Cindy
