Stacy Congratulations - that is wonderful. At my last weigh in I realized I only had 28 to go until I matched mine and that just tickled me - LOL I can't wait to get there too. Angie

Topic: RE: Thyroid
I had a lot of thyroid trouble before surg. So I guess I am not real suprized. The Doc found a lum*****dual on my thyroid. I have a sister who had her thyroid out due to cancer. I guess I am trying to find another reason cuz the chance of cancer is real. Thanks sooooo much for the help!! God bless!

Hi Everyone! I had my surgery Nov 5 and I am 50lbs down after 3 months! It feels fantastic! I started at 225 size 20 and I'm now 175 and size 14. I feel like a new person going into stores and trying on size 12 and 14 instead of the plus sizes. My 25 yr high school reunion is this summer.I hope to be down to an 8. After more than 20 years (I'm 41) of caring all that extra weight around and struggling with every diet possible my only regret is that I didn't do this sooner. Good Luck All!!! Colleen

I had no thyroid trouble before surgery - (that I was aware of :0) And sometimes I find myself with terrible hotflashes and "spells" like you mentioned since I've been losing weight. I think your body is just normalizing and if you give it some more time it will get better. Definitely if it doesn't get better you should mention it to your doc. Good luck !! Sheri Byrne

I know what u r saying!! I think I have a bear in my puch some times. I think it really depends on what food you eat. I had my open rny 11/6 . I am down 73 lbs. I just went off a 2-3 week platue with no weight loss and now its starting to fall off again. You are doing great! Good luck and God Bless! Deborah

Hi, Cib's are Carnation Instant Breakfasts. I had to drink nothing but them for the first 2 weeks after surgery and i hated them. now i can't even think of drinking anything that even resembles them cocoa, milkshake etc. even jello and scrambled eggs i can't eat right now. when that was all i had for options i guess mentally i hated not having any other option and i learned to hate them. hopefully someday i will get over it. but right now no way jose!! anyhoo, sorry to ramble, but god, i hate those things!! hahaha!! didn't you do the cib's after surgery?? I know that after surgery as your body is losing weight so fast your homones levels and things get really out of whack. They told me it will calm down soon. HA! Good luck and hope you can get it under control. ~Tiffany
