Topic: RE: sugar!!
Hi Stacy.... Just to let you know, I have tried some types of food with sugar... hopeing to get sick... only because I know in my heart of hearts, if I didn't, then I would most likely eventually push my limits... ( we all know if willpower and good eating habits were that easy, we wouldn't be here!! ) However, I was very cautious, but was able to tolerate the sugar in the foods. I tried a bite of cake w/ icing... and a few other food items. I know now I have a new challange because I had no issues, but I do use MODERATION. I would just tell you based on only my experience, if you don't miss it... don't try it... but who am I to say... I did. I wish you the best.....~ Jess

Actually... your doing really wonderful!! I have lost 49 lbs. and had surgery 3 days after you... I have also hit a plateau... but your body has to catch up with your weight loss... you don't want to loose your weight too quickly either. Be pround of how far you have come and know your going to keep on losing!! Take care and good luck! ~ Jess

You have lost like 60 pounds..right? Your body is catching up. When I stop losing weight, then I usually start to lose inches. Don't stress too much, I started at 220 and have only lost 46 pounds. Good luck, Dawn

Topic: Any Suggestions???????
I am getting so discouraged, I love the way I look right now I am wearing a size 14 YES!!! Looks good too. But here is the problem I work out four times a week. I push myself hard too. To get the most out of my workout. I drink all my fluids most every day some days I even get in 80 oz. I eat good choices but I dont think it is enough on fitday it is showing me at 500 calories a day, about 20 g carbs and 50 g protien, I eat good choices: string cheese, Crab salad, cottage cheese, salmon, tuna, I still can only eat a little bit. Like one string cheese and I am full. so here is the problem, For the last two and one half weeks I have been stuck between 172-175 lbs, I know this cant be all I will lose. I am not even three months out yet. What can or should I do to get this weight moving again??????? I dont want to stop here. I know it is an evil thing in my head saying to eat less, but I was thinking I should try to eat more, What gives. HELP?????????????????????????????????

Hi, I haven't tried anything with sugar in it. haven't dared yet. has anyone else done sugar?? they told me not to have it in the beginning and so i have been buying everything sugar free. i wondered if it would have to be like this forever or if we can have sugar eventually. Thanks Stacy

Hi, I eat peanut butter, but haven't had nuts or protein bars yet. i can generally eat about 3 to 4 oz in a meal 3 times a day. i can eat beef, chicken, pork the only thing i seem to have a hard time digesting is spiral ham. i can eat it but then i get really uncomfortable for like an hour or so. Topic: RE: My pouch is growling??????
Hi Ya, I'm not really having too much of the tummy noises, but find I'm constipated an awful lot. Maybe your plumbing is just working better than mine. I do get VERY hungry at least once a day, and my tummy growls. Don't know if it's the old one, or the new pouch. Thankfully, it fills up very quickly. I seem to be losing more slowly. My surgery day weight was 243.5, and on Monday the 9th, I weighed in at 202. Thats 41.5 pounds for me in 3 whole months. It sounds really good, but compared to others and to my own expectations, it's less than desired. My biggest worry is that I'm not going to keep losing. Let's not get discouraged...hang in there.

Happy Birthday!! I hope it was a great one, with lots of celebration. And believe me, you are not old! I've got 13 years on you! We had surgery the same day. I haven't been weighed for a month so I don't know what the number is. A month ago it was 40 lbs, and I've definitely lost since then. I'm hoping I lost at least 13 lbs. - that would put me under 200 permanently! I was wearing size 20 & 22; last week I bought a pair of size 16 jeans & a sweater that was an XL -- I looked great in them! It's such a wonderful feeling to know that finally the weight is GONE, not to come back. Continued great luck with your weight loss! Kathy

Topic: RE: 3 month update
Colleen -- Congratulations!!!! I had my surgery on 11/4. I get weighed tomorrow and last month I was down 40 lbs. -- I'm hoping I'm down 50+ when I get weighed. I think I am 'cuz my clothes keep getting bigger & bigger!! I started at 252 -- was wearing 20 & 22 clothes; last week I bought size 16 pants and an XL sweater. My next goal (after losing 50 lbs.) is to be like you & out of the plus sizes altogether! There are so many people I'd like to see when I'm down to a normal weight. I haven't been there since I was 12 years old, so no one will know what I can look like - including me! Continued good luck -- keep on losing!! Kathy
