I had my surgery on 11/19/03 and have lost exactly 40 lbs. I've been at the same weight now for over 3 weeks and have barely lost anything that I would call inches.....I actually think that the tiny difference on the tape measure should be considered "human error". I started my journey at 247 lbs. at 5' 6". Anyone out there about my size...how much have you lost so far? I know not to compare myself with everyone else and that we all lose differently but I'm feeling bad that I'm not losing just a little more....Please respond. THANKS.
P.S. Good luck to each of you through your journey...by reading here...I see that some of you are doing an AMAZING job.

Just popping in to share my progress. I am almost 3 months out and down 71 pounds. I went from a tight 32 to a 22/24 or a 26 jeans with no spandex and no elastic waist! I am now a 2X. I know many of you started where I am at now, but I can finally see a little of my progress. I did not even realize I needed new stuff till I tried things on at the store. Elastic stretches both ways and as much as it hid how big I was getting pre-op it was hiding my progress as a post op!

I'll start: Since November 19, I have dropped 70+ lbs. I think my secret is WATER WATER and more WATER and then work out at least 4 times a week. I do Curves M-W-Th and then a 1 hour power class of Jazzercise. And okay- chasing 25 5th graders all day and then 2 of my own at home doesn't hurt either! As far as food- I am on a major cotage cheese kick right now. How about your secrets- keep it going!

Stacy- I too work out at Curves! Between Curves, LOTS and LOTS of water and only eating 3 times a day- I think that is the secret as to how we all are dropping the pounds! Keep up the great work. I bet you feel SO GOOD!!!

I too am happy for you!! At the same time... the green-eyed monster has arisen and is wanting to know HOW THE HECK YOU'RE DOING THIS!?!?
I had LAP on 11/24/03 and have dropped almost 50lbs/51" and only ONE size. I realize everyone is different, but sometimes the cruelty of just how different we are is overwhelming.. LOL

I have to tell you this..... YEAH!!!!!
I did the big "no-no" on here by weighing myself the other day at the gym. I'm down 49.8 lbs.... not quite 50 yet, but when I finally hit that mark... I'm going to whoop and holler and act the complete fool...LOL

Hi,
i eat basically anything. i eat between 3 and 4 oz of food 3 times a day. and i work out 4 times a week at curves. i eat no junk food of any kind and i don't snack either. i try really hard to get in my protien and water. sometimes it's hard but some days are better than others.

they say i should weigh 130 lbs. but i have a large frame so we will see. i guess when i stop i stop. i think 150 they think 130 it will be great either way!!
