For the yogurt part of your post.... Dannon Light and Fit has less then ten grams of sugar in each container of the four-paks and the Dannon Carb Control only has 4 grams. The Light and Fit tastes a lot better then the Carb Control but I eat them both. I also drink half a Dannon Light and Fit liquid yogurt now and then for a special treat but only 1/2 because the entire bottle has 12 grams of sugar. I don't know if I dump on sugar but don't want to find out so I try not to have anything with ten grams of sugar or more.

Breakfast is usually 4 oz of cottage cheese. Lunch is a one-egg cheese omelet or tuna salad on crackers. Snack, Dannon low carb yogurt or string cheese or soy nuts; sometimes mixed nuts if I really want a treat, or chicken broth with a couple of saltines. Dinner will be any type of whitefish, chili, or a lean hamburger patty. I have trouble mixing more then one type of food. I can eat the fish but if I try to have some veggies or salad with it I am asking for trouble. I don't have to worry about drinking with meals because if I do I become ill. There are bad food days and when they happen I make sure I get down an Isopure clear protein drink. I do get in at least 50 oz of water and try to get more. Everyone once in awhile I'll try something new but usually can only manage a couple of bites. It's just easier to stick with the tried and true. Mary 345/243/???

Topic: Has everyone started losing their hair?
Surgery was on 11/19/03 and I keep waiting for my hair to start falling out. So far it hasn't but the waiting is almost as bad as the actuality. My sister and friend both started to lose theirs around three months. Has everybody else in November started losing or are they still waiting like me? Thanks, Mary 345/243/???

We have the same surgery date. As of last week I have lost 102 pounds but I also started at 345! I found that as long as I get my exercise, protein and water in the pounds come off. I walk 2-3 miles four days a week and take water aerobics three hours a week. The scales have stopped a couple of times but the fat still manages to come off. Best of luck in your journey.

Hi G R You seem to be doing great!! Wow I wish my hubby would cook for me!! He used to cook allthe time but now he has a new job that only brings him home at 6:30. Our rule is, who ever gets home first, cooks. You are doing much better than I am with the water!! It's a struggle every day.... I read a post ,that suggested putting a couple of slices of cucumber into your water. It is supposed to taste great.I am going to give it a whirl tomorrow.I also heard at my support group meeting ,that the hair loss will stop soon and will start growing back.I am one of the odd balls that is enjoying the thinning of my hair. It has always been way too thick I have enough for two. LOL All the best to you, Tracey.

Hi Darlene, yes I do exercise ,but not as much as I would like to. 2 to3 times a week I go walking with a buddy we usually do about 3 miles. My goal is to do it 5times a week.I have noticed that many Docs in the U.S.A have their patients use protein shakes.I have yet to try one. Maybe I should??My doc wants us to just use food to get our protein and take our multi vitamin daily. Our blood is checked every 6 months for any deficiencies.I find that i am really enjoying veggies in this new life of mine, pre surgery ,I couldn't stand them.Carrots and english cucumber dipped into a ranch dip is one of my favorite snacks.I also boil up some eggs and keep them handy incase I get hungry.I also love nature vally?? hard cruncy granola bars!! they take care of a sweet cravingfor me. I don't dump ,but be careful with them if you do.I hope you find something of interest here for you. Take care, Tracey

My typical breakfast is 2 Triscut low carb crackers with low fat/low sugar beanut butter on each. Lunch is usually three slices of smoked turkey and 1 finger slice of cheese...or just a small salad ...or some left overs from last nights dinner...some kind of protien.....My DH cooks dinner now so I can avoid tasting anything....dinner is always protien (chicken, beef) and some salad. My only snack so far has been sunflower seeds...Sometimes I don't do well with peanuts and cheese but it always a gamble...My water intake is about 40-50 ozs a day....I'm trying to push that a little more....I don't like drinking anything else...except a small latte once a week. I started at 247 at 5'-6" and am now 197lbs.. -50lbs...50 more to go...the weight loss has SLOWED DOWN...and the hair is falling off

Hi Tracey, Let me ask you, do you exercise? I usually have a half cup of cottage cheese with some fruit on the bottom for breakfast, thats after i drink my protein drink on the way to work, (doctors orders) a snack of cheese and nutss then lunch maybe chili or some type of meat or protein and then dinner. I am trying to get new ideas to change things up, I have lost about 53 lbs. in four months and my doctor seems concerned that the weight lose has slowed down. Any new ideas would be helpful. Thanks, Darlene

Topic: RE: Hair loss+Hair cut = Hope!!
I did the same, I have really thick hair and cut mine and had it thinned right before my surgery so it would be easier to care for while I was recouping. BIG BIG mistake. I am loosing bad, I then had it cut to my shoulders and highlighted. I just purchased some hair vitamens from AVON. The lady said she has never sold any of them so she wants me ot report back to her. You look great in that pic by the way. Congrats on you loss.
