I do get shakes alot but at different times. I usually try OJ and some peanutbutter on crackers. I really don't think my blood sugar is low I'm not sure where its coming from Belinda RNY 11/04/03

Hi Deborah, I do get the shakes occasionally. I eat peanut butter and crackers and it usually work really well to stop the shakes. My blood sugar drops too low when this happens. Maybe you should monitor yours. I was a diabetic before my surgery and I will always be one but now I don't have to take any meds for it. I don't know why my blood sugar drops when it does but I know how it feels and I am usually prepared when it happens. I didn't want to get into the habit of eating too much sugar either and my Dr. says it is healthier to bring you blood sugar up slowly with peanut butter and crackers and OJ than to ru**** up fast with candy. Good Luck.
