Has anyone not reached their goals?? I know that sounds like a crazy question, but we always here about the people who have reached their goals, but I havent. I'll be honest, I have really fell off the band wagon. I am eating too much too often. I really need to get back on track, but I just cant seem to do it. I am not drinking my water, because I actually feel horribly dehydrated, and I am not getting all my protein in (although I am getting pretty close because I am tired of loosing my hair). I have good intentions, but I just can't get motivated. Am I having a problem, or is other people out there feeling this way too??? Cara (ps.....I have lost 133lbs, still 100lbs to go)

I know the feeling I was doing great then I started taking these Anti-depressants and I gsined weight like no other I have gained 50 lbs. I got so desperate to loose I went and got on Diet pills. I have come to far. I was 415 then I got down to 247 then back up to 283. It is really depressing. Just hang in there. DO not give up. Look at where you came from and keep on trucking. Eat those things that are healthier for you and hi in Protien. Do exercise and know you are not alone. Keep in touch. We all need the support. Nakisha Nelson

Cara, you have lost 57% of your excess weight, so you are not a failure. The average weight loss for the RNY is only 65%. Very few people actually lose 100% of their excess weight. Your window of opportunity may still be open, but most likely you are going to have to work harder to lose more and to prevent regain. You didn't mention exercise in your post, but other than that it sounds like you know what you need to do. It is hard to stay motivated--maybe a local support group or even a weigh****chers group can help you. Good luck.

It has been a long time - I hope you will feel better soon. We all backslide now and then and not all of us reach the goals we set for ourselves. It takes time. Just look - you have lost 133 pounds. Good heavens, girl, that's one slender gal 5'6. Stop measuring your success according to the success of others. Each one of us is a unique individual. Please try to reprogram your eating and drinking. Start like you were brand new, with a day off. I usually go through a day of creamy food, like yougurt, cream of wheat, protein shakes. then I start all over again with trying to eat properly the next day. You are going to be fine. [hugs you big]
