So far today, almost 1600. I'm 5'9 and 165 lbs. The night's still young and I'll be awake all night on call....so who knows what else I can cram down my mouth! (Hoping NOT too, but I get worse and worse the later it gets!) I use fitday.com when I start to feel like I'm getting out of control. (like today with 7 thumbprint cookies throughout the day) And as for protein, I got in enough for today, but I do eat all other types of food, including cookies. Damn cookies...food of the devil! GRR! How many calories have you had today? ~~Kristen

Thanks for getting back to me. Im 5'7 185. I want to be at least 150 and this seams to be where my struggle starts. The weight is not just falling off like it has done in the past. I am trying to only eat 1200 but i don't know if that is to much. Like you I can probably eat 1600 with out even blinkin and eye but i am trying to control it. I am just wondering how many I am suppose to be eating so I can get down to 150 : (. Very frustrated. Rachel

Check out this website and click on CALORIE NEEDS FOR WOMEN 18+. (it's in BLUE) You'll find that you probably aren't eating enough. Then your body goes into starvation mode...etc etc...if I find something that explains the whole starvation mode idea, I'll send it to you. It sounds all wrong, but we need a certain amt of calories to lose wt and too little calories can make you hang on to the wt. Nice to know though huh! http://www.annecollins.com/calories/calorie-needs-women.htm Take care, Kristen

Isn't that insane! I think I remember reading once that as post ops, we should be eating about 200 calories less than a normal person. That's still 2042 calories for you! Then if you want to lose, you need to cut out even more. I think it's an additional 200 or 500....that's still more than you eat now. 1542! SO I guess you need to up your calories. I hope it helps. ~Kristen

well what i heard was you have to eat for the weight you want to be. It's still like 1300 calories minus the 500. How many calories are you eating a day and are you still losing? PS: do u work out?

My husband got a gazelle for ten bucks and I use that thing all the time. We have gym memberships, but I never use mine. JOhn uses his once in a while but mainly gets his workout at his jujitsu class and riding his dirtbike. I'm more sedentary than I should be. As for my wt, I've maintained the same wt for a few months now. My BMI is 24. I'd like to lose atleast another 10 lbs. But am really happy here. I don't understand what you are saying about eating 1300 minus 500. Where do you get the 1300 from? ~Kristen

I love the gazelle too, but it seems too easy. The one we hae doesn't have any way to increase resistance. I don't know if any of them do...but it jsut seems so easy. After a while, I do feel a little short of breath I guess. Maybe I just feel like I'm cheating because it's not a hard workout that makes me sweat. Either way, I'm not sitting on the couch all day anymore. I actually do get up and move on that thing, which is better than nothing. Since we got it used, we don't have the tape to go with it. Is ir really helpful? I would order one if I knew that it's gonna help increase my workout. Take care, Kristen
