One year out with one small problem

I had my surgery last November and am within 5 lbs of my goal weight. I met with my plastic surgeon today to see about extra skin removal and he informed me that I have a small hernia below my belly button. Has anyone had this problem? Should I worry or be paranoid about it?

Hi; if there is no pain; don't panic. it should be taken care and could be at the same time with the plastic surgery. I have heard that it may also help with the approval of the plastic surgey for insurance. good luck. mark g.

Mark is right. Having a hernia does help with the insurance approval. Otherwise it's not a big deal. I guess I've had one for years that I didn't even know about until I lost the weight. Actually, be thankful for it. Many people pray they get a hernia so insurance covers the plastic surgery. Good luck! Shelley
