Hi All! I had my surgery on Wednesday.I am still in Montreal recovering but will be going home tomorrow. The surgery went really well. The Dr said he removed 3 lbs of skin/fat from my abdomen. He also discovered I had a hernia between the rib area near my previous surgery incision which he repaired as well.I have not looked down and seen a flat stomach like this in over 20 years!Even with the bandages it looks amazing. Good Luck to all! Colleen

I get to meet the surgeon on the 17th ~ even though I still have 20 lbs to lose. I so hope my insurance will approve it.

why did you go to Montreal? was it cheaper? I'm glad your happy with your results. they obviously didn't make you wait 18 months, which seems to be what I'm getting here, they don't even want to consult untill its been well over a year since surgery.

Ohh you are so lucky, I am glad to hear that everything went well with your TT. I go for my consult on Nov 22 which is my birthday and wow wouldnt that be a great birthday present to be told my insurance approved my TT/ hernia repair. Im so scared right now that i may not be approved because I dont have the hang down or sagging of the tummy area. My insurance states that if i loose 100 lbs which i have met ,that I qualify for a tt and no stipulations are listed but Im worried that they may see it as not being a nesesity. We'll have to see. I'll be fine if I am not approved but it would be nice to have a totally flat tummy again and the possibility to have my streach marks removed. I will still be having the hernia repaired and it would be nice to do it all at once. Wish me lucky maybe I'll be writing soon that I am back and doing as well as you are. De' 229/129 Nov 19,2003
