HELP!!!!
I just got lab report from 1 year check up and not good.
I need CALCIUM CITRATE badly and Protein. I have a hard time with both of these cause I need 1500 - 1600 grams of calcium a day and I do not like the chewables. I was told there is a liquid calcium citrate. Can anyone tell me where to get this? Also I do not like protein shakes. Please give me advice and ideas for protein?
I have lost over 77% of my excess weight, doc says I am not done yet.
But says I did GREAT!!!! I went from 329 pounds to 171 pounds. And a size 26 - 28 to a size 10 - 12. My anniversary is 11/17.

Hello Diane, I take calcium capsules everyday. You just have remember to take your calcium at a different time than all of your other supplements. Calcium can block the absorbtion of other minerals. I don't like protein shakes either. The only one I like is Met rx rtd40. It's ready to drink, itn't gritty and has 40 grams of protein. It's only 15 oz.

I haven't been able to tolerate the taste of the protien shakes either. Instead, I buy unflavored protien powder and mix it with 6 oz. of low fat chocolate milk. My doctor is ok with this. It gives me some extra calcium too. Be sure to shake really well, or use a hand blender. It does dissolve really well in milk. I've also found it goes well in smoothies. Check GNC stores for liquid supplements, such as calcium.

Hi Diane,
I take ther calcium citrate capsules every day and stick to a low carb diet which is mostly meats for me.
What kind of diet are you following? You should be able to get all your protien in by mouth if you eat right. Plus, the low carb foods will help you lose weight.
If you must have a protien shake, you should try the whey fruity. It's whey foamy, but I can tolerate it. It's the only one that doesn't make me sick to my stomach.

I take a prenatal vitamin and b-12 pills from Wal-Mart and my 5month check-up all of my labs were great. I don't know what it will be on the 29th, I will be going back for my yearly. My year wil be up on the 18th. I went from 221/145, size 20/8 but want to get to 125/5. You can increase your protein by eating meat. I don't do protein shakes because they make me sick so I eat alot of fish and chicken, beef jerky nuggets. I also eat every hour due to me on getting in about 2 or 3 bits each time I eat. This is just incase I don't get in enough protein.
Have you tried Viactive Chews. They come in carmel and strawberry flavor. I like the carmel flavor they taste like eating a piece of carmel candy. 3 a day gives you 1500 grams of calcium. As for protien i agree with the other responder who stated that you should be able to eat your protien thru meats. Try Jerky, pork rinds or meats in general. I have never had a problem with the protien issue because I am a meat eater. I can eat a dinner of just meat and nothing else and be just content.. lol how weird is that.Good Luck
