Thank God!!!! - I am not the only one

Hi Everyone!!! This is the first time I came in here and read the posts. I am 11 months (11/13/03 Surgery Date) post op RNY I lost 143 lbs but have gained 7 lbs back in the last couple of weeks. I was getting real discouraged and it is very comforting to know that I am not the only one experiencing these plateaus and re-gains. My doc wants me to lose 20 lbs a month, which didn't seem to hard to accomplish, but now I am against a wall and am gaining and not losing. I am so close to getting under the 200 lbs mark and can't wait to get there, hopefully by my 1 year date next month. I am also experiencing the times when I do not lose weight but still manage to lose in size. Is anyone else getting tired of people commenting on your weight loss? I am... I find myself avoiding people I haven't seen in a while. I just want to live somewhat normal at my new size. Good Luck and Congratulations to Everyone and Keep up the Good Work!!!

[smiles] Our old friends who haven't seen us in awhile are just in awe of us. It goes away and you get to be normal, so give them their moment. They mean well. The plateaus come and go and drive us crazy, but oh well ~ we will get there eventually! Good luck dmj
