I too have not lost any more wieght in the past month maybe month & 1/2. But the doctor has told me that I am at goal & I do not need to lose anymore. Could it be that you are at goal? I don't know how much you wanted to lose. Or it could be that you are on a bad plateau. I experienced many plateaus since surgery last November! Good luck! Priscilla at goal! BMI: 21!

Hi Carolyn, I am at a plateau also, I have lost 81 pounds and have been stuck for almost two months, but the scale moved down ONE pound today making it 82 pounds. I was told by my surgeon's office to up my protein to 100 grams a day and to try to completely cut out carbs, which I plan on doing this week. I have been trying to shake things up the last couple of weeks by doing different things and eating different things. The fact that the scale moved one pound is encouraging to me. Hopefully it will keep moving. I see my surgeon next month right around my one year anniversary. Hopefully the scale will have moved more and I can get some good advice from my surgeon. Have you spoken to your surgeon's office or your nutritionist? They should be able to Good Luck Darlene

I have been on the plateau from hell too. I have gained and lost the same darn 5 lbs for over a month. LOL! Dr. says this happens as your metabolism changes. It is still frustrating none the less.

Hey Carolyn, I know how you feel, I have lost 94 lb.s and am on a terrible plateau. I have been this way for three months. And good news is now I am pregnant, so I'm happy yet freaked that the baby will have me gaining weight. I had been good about exercise and pretty good about diet before I got pregnant so I was so frustrated. Maybe talk to your wls nutritionist and see if she can help. My surg was Nov 4, 2003. The slow losers are not alone, don't feel bad. Good luck, Paula

My weight will go 2 to 3 pounds in either direction every day. I'm still losing, but it's up and down up and down. Don't be discouraged. If you are following all the rules, you will break through. Are you losing inches? With all that exercise, you may be putting on muscle. Muscle weighs twice as much as fat. Don't let the scales be the only way of measuring success. Your clothes will tell you how you're doing. Hope this helps! Cecil 338/175
