Hey group I am down from 269 to 175 surgery date 11/24/03 The problem is I started feeling muscle cramps in my legs about a month ago, I upped the water. Then 3 weeks ago I then started feeling muscle pain all over my body to include the muscles that hold up my neck. I figured I was dehydrated, and had loss of B vitamins so this last week I upped the water and the vitamins. As of today I have gained a whopping 20 lb. in the last 2 months. Not that I have eaten more either. My whole body hurts. I don't have much energy at all. I had blood work last week to check my electrolits. everything was out of whack. What do you think this could be? Deborah

I really think you need to get a call in to your surgeon, deborah. obviously you are not receiving the benefit of the nutrients youa re taking in. Please never let what appears to be a small thing go - we tend to "not want to bother" people, but this is important. After all you have done to get your health, don't let it go now! Good luck and let us know what they say.

Hi Deborah; make sure your doctor checks your Vitiamin B levels. Not only will they need to check how much you have in your blood-stream; but also how much you are eliminating every day. Sometimes the viitamins may be normal in the blood but we are just peeing them all out also. keep us informed. mark g.

If your electrolytes are out of whack you are probably retaining fluids. Follow your healthcare provider's advice to correct the fluid/electrolyte balance for now and then follow your post-op instructions carefully.
