Yeah! I am so depressed and was feeling alone with all my bad choices of food and I found I am not alone. Thank you! Not that I want everyone eating badly with me but... I did notice that my eating is worse now because of my period. I get better food for me to eat when we grocery shop but I eat all that first and when it's all gone everything else looks good. Some of what I eat makes me sick but after awhile I forget about it and eat it again. I don't wanta be the big girl again. This will all pass right? I guess I need to just stay away from the food and drink lots of water. Sugar free popcicles helped me before. And i've noticed I'm around food more since the kids are out for summer vacation, anyone else notice this? thanks for helping me like I am not alone, Heidi

I also struggle with bad food choices. I can eat anything in moderation, with no ill- side effects. Which keeps the portions of the bad stuff small but still it is cheating. So I tell myself obesity is a diesese (spelling) just like being an alcoholic. They struggle with their drug of choice and I struggle with mine (food). I go to support groups (just like they do) for the moral support that is there. It is life changing decision that I made and I need to remember that. I will battle this demon all my life but I have a weapon to help me.. My little pouch. I must remember that. Good Luck to all of you. Tricia 232 lbs Nov, 21, 2003 size 22 149 lbs July 28, 2004 size 8

Hi; here is what I do for the Banana Ice Cream 1 cup lowfat or nonfat milk 1 scoop of ProPlete Gold Banana Creme Protein Powder from BariataricEating.com 3/4 cup ice cubes 1 teaspoon vanilla put everything in a heavy duty blender and mix till creamy. Put in the freezer overnight. I have also done the following 1 cup whipping cream 1 scoop gormet vanilla protein powder (bariataric eating.com) 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/3 cup splenda 2 whole ripe bananas put everything in a heavy duty blender and mix till creamy. Put in the freezer overnight. my kids love the second one. The whipping cream makes it a bit rich for me. I have also just drank the mixture after blending it together for a banana shake. any questions let me know. enjoy mark g.

Hi Kim. I have to kind of agree with what everyone has been saying. I must admit that I also make bad food choices, but I make many more good ones. I have cravings to chips and icecream and all the bad junk foods, but in the end, I usually don't buy them and that is how I avoid them. I have already bought junk food, found that I could not "handle" having it in the house (because I knew I would keep eating it and sabotaging myself), so I either throw it away (wasteful, I know, but sometimes I just need to do that) or I give it away. Anyway, long story short...we are all human and if you mess up, tomorrow is a new day. Just start anew and you will be able to get back on track. Take care!

Karen, I am right there with you on that one. I simply cannot have it in the house or sooner or later, it is gonna find its way into my tummy. I did start getting those itty bitty little bags of crackers. Even those have plenty of calories. I have learned to be a label reader, as all of us have. Labels can go a long way in the discouraging one from eating category. Is 500 calories really worth the momentary pleasure? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

you are definitely not alone! I have a problem with wanting salty things, I just can't bring saltines and pistachio's in the house anymore-cuz I seem to know no limit...I don't miss the sugary stuff too often-but when I do, a protein bar makes me feel like I'm eating a candy bar-especially the Dr. Phil chocolate brownie bars...YUM! Every day is a new day with new choices-if I don't do so well one day, I just try harder the next day...I think we *all* are doing our best, so CONGRATS on how well we've all done so far!
