I saw Dr. Overcash today. I am 8 months post-op and have lost 112 pounds. He said I am doing great and I do not need to see him again. I started at 300 and am now 191.5 on his scales. At home I am 184.5 undressed. Now I need to start looking at plastic surgery.

wow gary. you have done wonderful this past year. I am surprised though that your surgeon doesn't want to see you any longer. I have to go to mine yearly, once I get to the point of going to yearly visits for the rest of my life. Congrats on your rapid success.

Gee--I am not so sure this is good news--I mean, you have done great! But, my surgeon has lifetime follow-up visits (at no charge--follow-up care is included in surgical fees). We have one week, one month, three month, six month, 12 month, 18 month, and then annual visits with lab work each time beginning at three months. Is your PCP going to follow your labs? Something about your email to the gentleman that did not need to see his surgeon any longer made me want to reply to you and seek your support for me. Are you available to chat with me every now and again?
