I am down 123 lbs. Stuck at 206 for weeks now....... I was PMSing and thought that might have been the problem but that is over a week ago now and I am bouncing around between 206 and 208. I see everyone else has been doing the same either gaining a few pounds or not losing any. I guess this is typical at this stage. I know I need to eat less and better foods... my choices haven't been the best lately. I am in a size 16 from a size 28. And the 16's are getting really loose, time to try 14's. Some words of encouragement from you all would be appreciated........ I think I am getting a little depressed.

Hang in there Diane! I am the same way. I keep going back and forth with my weight. And the food choices are hard some time. It seems we all go through it! And it can be depressing, but what we have to do is look at where we started and realize that with the WLS the pounds aren't just going to melt away. It's just an aide for us. You will get there! I thought I was stuck for about a month and a half but I was losing inches. My weight loss goes in stages, I will be the same weight for long periods of time but I am losing inches. Then I will lose 2-3 lbs. 2 lbs from the century club, Janette

Hi Diane; I know what you mean. Being stuck is depressing. My wife hid our scales; and will only let me weigh once a week. I have been bouncing for about a month and a half now. And this past weekend I finally dropped 2 lbs. Yes, this surgery is just an aide; and it is up to us to make the healthy choices. I wrote down why I did the surgery in the first place and I take that note out and read it when I feel down. I also look at some of my old pics these help me make better food choices. Hang in there. We are all here to listen and help each other on this journey called life and those of us who have had WLS have a special bond. mark g.

WOO HOO! From a size 28 to a 14, that is half right?? You are doing awesome! Compare some before and after pics for more encouragement. I think it's normal to feel down once in a while. Especially now. We are all starting to slow down and settle in here. It's scary, but I think it will keep going (we will keep losing) just a lot slower. Man that really bums me out, because it just dropped off so fast at first! hang in there! kristen
