8 month-What is your Typical Daily Menu??
You all are depressing me!!!!!!!
Life goes on after WLS!!!!!!!!!
Go out to eat.........
You can eat something anywhere people choose to go. I have a new job and the ladies like to go out to eat 1-2 times a week. You can get grilled chicken anywhere on earth. I can eat a large salad, or a small side salad with chicken on top or cheese etc. It is fun to eat and see what you can eat. Yes everyone monitors us. They need to so i cannot over eat. We went to Olive Garden last week, and yes it used to be my favorite place. I got egg plant parm. jsut like i used to before WLS and i ate about three bites fo it. Sure was good and a large salad, one bite of a bread stick and go****er to go.
I enjoyed every moment of it. Just the taste of real food sometimes is GREAT!
Cheer up and get to eating. Your body tells you when enough is enough.

Debbie,
You know the first thing I would say about this surgery is that I do not miss all the eating it is going out to dinner. I love to go out and eat. I have gone maybe five times or so to a sit down place since my surgery. One of them being my wedding dinner and eating only the mashed potatoes and baked fish. I felt like I was under a micro scope with the family watching me eat. I would love to go to Red Lobster or even Apple bees. When you eat a large salad how large. Like one cup or more? I usually can eat a cup with about 2 ounces of shrimp. That sounds like alot does it not? Your are doing great by the way!
Hi there!
I am just one week past 8 months...loss of 110 lbs with 40 to go.
My regular diet each day is pretty varied....and I eat meals with family, just less amounts of whatever they eat.....I lose about 4-8 lbs a month a present and don't really worry about it much. I should exercise more than i do also.....busy work life and distractions.
I do a Protein shake every morning with an additional 16 oz of tea vitamins
Lunch I eat protein and fruit or vegetables and then I eat out a lot also, Taco Bell, Wendy, KFC.......just order small amount and have left overs. I go out to dinner and share with my mom or my husband.....I eat the occasional treat also about 3 times a week.....so far has not interfered for me and I am NOT sensitive to sugar.....
It is hard if your family does not understand and not considerate of your needs, even a need to vent being annoyed is important! Try to be kind to yourself!

Here's my normal week day:
0530: Ride 5 miles or 20 minutes on my recumbent bicycle.
0600: Vitamin (chewable prenatal), equate (stool softener), Innermint (to fight odor) and whatever amount of water it takes to wa**** all down.
0630: Usually grab either a bacon cheeseburger or bacon croissant from burger king on my way to work. I remove the largest side of the bun/ croissant and fold it over. Or I may have ½ cup sugar free cereal (rice krispies, corn flakes or shredded wheat) with a little 1% milk.
0730: 15 oz. Decaf coffee mixed with Splenda, creamer and 24gm. Chocolate protein powder.
Water, water, water...
1000: 15 oz. Decaf coffee mixed with Splenda, creamer and 24gm. Chocolate protein powder.
Water, water, water...
1130: Lunch, usually either leftovers from dinner or a small frozen dinner. Today it's leftovers from dinner, ½ chicken breast with ½ cup chicken rice. I do eat pasta and rice.
30 minutes later, water, water, water...
3PM: Snack - Nature Valley Crunchy Granola bar (2 in a pack, I only eat one) or maybe a couple of crackers or a sugar free popsicle or low carb ice cream bar.
5PM: 24 oz. Kool-Aide made with Splenda with 30 gms unflavored protein powder mixed in.
6PM: Dinner- just a small portion of what the family is eating. They are eating much healthier these days!
30 minutes later, water, water, water...
8:30PM: Innermint, a few crackers and water.
I never take more than 15 minutes to eat anything. If it's taking longer than that, it's time for me to stop. Looking at this, it seems I eat a lot but it seems to be working, I'm down 127 pounds. I also have two teenage girls at home that very much enjoy their roles as my personal food police.
