HELP GALLBADDER PROBLEMS
Hello Carolyn,
I am 7 months post op and developed stones in my gallbladder sometime after my surgery. At first it began as little twinges of pain on my right side below my rib cage then one afternoon I had this pain that was so terrible that it knocked the wind out of me and lasted about 30 minutes. I tried everything to make it stop, laying down, strecthing, bending over, you name it. I was crying and had to crawl to the bathroom to throw up because I could not walk. I called my surgeon and had an appointment with him. They did an ultrasound and found stones and now I am scheduled for surgery to remove it on July 12th. I wish you the best of luck and if you are having gallbladder problems, my advice woould be to just go ahead and get it removed and be done with it.
No biggy they just remove the gallbladder laproscopically. I just had mine removed two weeks ago and I am doing fine. I am 7 months post op and had two gallbladder attacks three weeks ago. Look at the bright side it helped me lose a few more pounds this month LOL. I couldn't eat for almost a week. They had me on ice chips in the hospital for 4 days. I am now down 120 lbs. And feeling good. Your belly will just be a little sore again after the surgery.
I had gallbladder issues earlier this year. I must have blocked out my wls pain because i thought I would die from having my gallbladder removed. They took it up lap, so the insicion (sp?) wasn't' even that big, I must be a baby.
The dr said it was from the rapid weight loss.
Get yourself some frozen veggies to rest on your surgery spot, that was the advice they gave me and it worked.
Good luck
Heidi
