Overeating???
I guess I should not ask this because I know the answer I am sure. Can I be over eating. I eat maybe 3 or 4 meals a day. Depends on what I eat. I start with milk in the morning. Around 9:00 or 9:30, I cut off a piece of cheese that is two inches in length and about one half and inch thick. I then usually drink water then around 1:00 I eat another peice and maybe a slice of turkey. I then drink water and eat whatever my family eats for supper. But then when the lights go out and everyone is in bed, I get up and eat snack stuff. Like a tablespoon of potatoe salad or a handful of dry cereal and even a cookie. Not all at once. This sounds like binge eating. I know. I am about to call my nutritionist as the more I type the more I know the answer. Yesterday, I had cheese in the am and in the afternoon I ate not quite half a pizza pastery made out of a light crossiant. Yes I ate the bread. Not proud of it. Then at dinner, I turned around and ate a very small slice of pizza. Started with just the toppings then it ended up being a slice. I always get my proteing in with my shake, cheese. What do you think. Is four ounces of food or even six ounces to much? I need to measure more. I put it in a cup prior and it looks like alot when you place 6 ounces of food. But when you chew/break it down it is not that much. I just cut myself off. I have no sense of full and never have. This am I had a egg/sausage burrito without the shell. I just spooned it off egg/saugsage/cheese. I ate all the fillings. I bet it was at least 4 ounces. I did not measure it but that is what it looked like. I will not eat again until about 3. sorry for rambling. I just feel like I eat to much.
Hi,
You need a more structured eating deal. i eat about 4 oz. 3 times a day and i eat all regular stuff that everyone else eats. i have a english muffin with cheese and ham for breakfast (about 3 1/2 to 4 oz) lunch is 3 to 4 0Z of whatever i had for supper the night before and about 3:30 i have a protein snack of 1 oz of nuts and 1 oz of cheese and sometimes a protein drink if i need it and then supper is like 2 to 3 oz meat with like 1/2 to 1 oz rice or noodle and 1/2 to 1 oz of veggie. (total 4 0z) i drink all day and exercise 4 times a week at curves. i have my days that i "crave" bad stuff so i buy sugar free russell stover mints and then have one when i am really craving something and take small bites so it lasts a long time. i think if you structure your day a little you won't have to get up in the night and snack. i measure everything to make sure i never take more than 4 oz. total.
i don't want to stretch out my pouch. you have to try to make sure you don't graze i have caught myself doing that a few times and we have come too far to let ourselves go back to bad habits. just start measuring everything and get structure in your meals and keep up the water intake it keeps you full!!
you will do great i am sure, you have been so strong to get to this point!!
congrats to you

Regina,
I am with you on the same boat (sinking slowly)!
I too feel as if I am eating too much and stuff that seems to work for me is stuff i should not have. I drink a protein shake every morning when I get up, then around 10:00 i have a yogart or cottage cheese, then for lunch i eat 2-3 oz of meat or cheese, or some kind of salad, then when I get home around 5:30 ish I grab a piece of fruit, then around 7:00 i eat dinner, then I want to snack on some SF ice cream, SF pudding or popsicles and such. Dont feel like you are alone, take it one day at a time. Eating is an addiction like anything else. I have decided to take it one day at a time. Each day I say to my self this is not a diet, this is a life style change. DO I want to be MO for the rest of my life or do i want to be healthy and happy. Then if you fall off the band wagon, dont make yourself out to be the bad guy, just pick up and start all over again.
Best of luck to you!
