I've been stuck for 5 weeks now! I'm ready to do something drastic. I've been doing what I'm supposed to, but the scales won't budge. I've never hit a plateau this long. Any suggestions?

I am right there with you. Mine has lasted one month and it is very frustrating. I have gone from a size 10 to a size 8 this month, but no weight loss. Have you been measuring? You may be losing inches and in the long run, I think you would like too lose the inches more than the weight Just make sure you are upping the protein and cutting the carbs and getting in all your fluids. You WILL start to lose again. How far are you from goal? That may also have alot to do with it also. ((((HUGS)))) Dawn

My first major plateau lasted that long as well - and boy did I get depressed. What I did was give the tiny tummy a break. I went for a day or so and just had cream of wheat and liquids. Seemed to jog the plateau and I upped my protein grams. I am still losing slowly though, which makes me crazy. BUT - at least I am losing *something*

I actually found myself looking for diet pills at Rite Aid the other day!! What's up with that???? (of course they were carb blockers!) I didn't buy any,but I did consider it. That's so sad. I'm so addicted to CRAP food that I am willing to take a PILL to try and counteract it. I am SO looking for counseling...maybe a little overeaters anonymous. Take care, Kristen
