I figured it was time for an update.I am 6.5 months out and down 70 lbs! This surgery was the best thing I've ever done for me.I started at 225,size 20 and now at 155,size 8.My goal is 135.I'm 5'2".
On another note my hair finally stopped falling out at about the 6 month mark.Thank heaven!
Good Luck All

CONGRATULTIONS! I'M 6 MONTHS OUT ALSO. I'VE LOST AROUND 83 POUNDS. I STARTED AT 262 & I'M NOW 179.5. I WENT FROM A SIZE 26 TO A SIZE 14 (COMFORTABLE) BUT I DID BUY A SIZE 12 SKIRT YESTERDAY. I TOO FEEL THAT THIS WAS THE BEST THING I'VE EVER DONE. TOO BAD I DIDN'T DO IT SOONER. I DON'T KNOW IF I WANT TO GET TO A SIZE 8 BUT A 12 OR 10 WILL BE JUST GREAT FOR ME. I'M 5'4.
it is so cool to meet someone who is about the same as me i am 5' 4" and i was 257 when i had my surgery. i am down about 84 lbs. i weighed in at the doctors yesterday at 173 its so awsome. makes me feel great. i am wearing a size 12 a little baggy your inspiring me to go buy a size 10 or to at least go try one on. LOL! i just baught cloths for the first time since surgery, i had some smaller things from losing and regaining over the years. But a size 12 havent beed there since just after hight school. this is the greatest thing i have ever done for me too, and also wish i would have done it a lot sooner. Good luck to you in the rest of your journey. and God Bless is all you do. Margaret (Peggy)
Well - I started at 253 lbs and 5'5, and had my surgery right alongside Peggy. Today I weigh in at 186, so I have still only lost 67 lbs. I feel like for me it has been a slowwwwwwwwwww loss, but at least it is going. I still feel this is the best thing I have done for myself, since I no longer have to take blood pressure pills and cholesterol pills and can walk up and down my stairs without feeling like I am dying for air. Not sure what size i am down to, but all the big clothes are too big. I am bagging them up to take to the Outreach Program at the church.
Happy losing, yall!
