Shakes
I know that this might seem like a big deal to some but it's big for me. I was finally able to drink a shake and get in 28 grams of protein at one time. I am so excited!!! I ordered a few samples from Unjury and the chocolate is actually pretty good. It's not chalky and I was able to mix it without having to use a blender which I really liked. I also ordered the vanilla and unflavored.
They made a suggestion to use the unflavored in the Sunrise Crystal light or the Strawberry-Orange-Banana Crystal light. It can also be mixed in soup or jello. Looks like I just may have found something that I can use on a regular.
I know what you mean about the shakes! Before surgery, I could drink then with no problem, I liked the Advantage Chocolate, and Chocolate Royal, but after surgery...ewww, I couldn't handle the texture, or taste. I haven't tried one since about 3 weeks post op, so maybe I will try again.
I have been using the powder protein from GNC, Protein 95 which is a soy based protein, and I really like it, both the chocolate and vanilla.
I sometimes add a tsp of instant coffee to my vanilla one, and sometimes a half of a banana in both the vanilla or chocolate. I have also used a few strawberries in the vanilla, and nummy!
Anyway, I am happy for you that you found something you like, and that agrees with you. I have some unflavored protein powder that I haven't used much. I did try it in sugar free pudding, and ick. I didn't like it, but it may be good in the choices you mentioned. I'll have to see.
Good luck, and I will try to ride that protein train with you next week!

Tastes great!
I mix 1 scoop of chocolate with 1/2 scoop of vanilla most of the time. And with a variety of sugar free syrups, I can have different flavored shakes all the time.
