Plateaus suck, Part II

My plateau lasted for a month - maybe more. It made me crazy, and I was very depressed. Then, yesterday I stepped on the scale and found that seven pounds had just up and vacated, taking me to the 60 lb loss mark. I did a day or two of creamy foods like yogurt, oatmeal, protein shakes. It seemed to help shrink back up the tiny tummy and I am not about to push that. And the day or two of creamy foods gets you away from the kitchen and the constant food worry! *grins big* 40 lbs to the century club!

Dee! Yes, I agree..plateaus DO suck. I had a little one about 12 weeks out, finally broke and I dropped 7 lbs all at once. Now, I'm at the same weight for 2 weeks. Not a HUGE plateau, but still frustrating. I've been bad too..not getting in all my water and protein. BAD BAD BAD..I'm vowing to do better. Gonna try the "creamy food" thing, hope I can shrink the pouch! I'm down 87 lbs as of this morning. Be Well! 401/313/?

Hi Dee I also just broke my plateau with a loss of 7 pounds in one week, but I got sick and wasn't hungry. Congratulations on your wonderful loss. ((((HUGS)))) Dawn

SUCK is an understatement! Sigh. I have lost 85 lbs. And gone from size 24 to 16 (probably could squeeze into a 14 but am to chicken to try). Yet for the last month I haven't lost...gained 2 lbs, finally lost those 2 lbs putting me back at 209 (85 gone) and 59 lbs from goal. Its all about the water. I know it. I'm forcing myself to drink though I want to throw up after a few sips.

Hello ~ I can so relate to all of you! Seems like one passes and another one is here! I am at the 62lb mark and stuck again! I feel so good and I am very happy but want to be in ONE-DER-LAND so bad I can taste it!! I am so close but seems so far away!! I too have been slacking on my water consumption and swore today I was going to pu****well here it is at 9pm and I still need to drink more! Hope everyone has a great Friday and just know...YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!

I heard this in two different places (Vogue & Good Morning America) drinking cold water helps you burn calories because you body has to warm up with your metbolizim. (spelling is awful, sorry) And when you hit a plateaus it is because your body has adjusted to your diet and exercise plan so you need to cut back on food and step up your working out. I am not sure how much of it applies to us with wls and somedays i hardly eat anything and i wonder why i am still carrying this icky skin around. Which is also another thing, since we have all lost this weight we are carrying around pounds of flabby skin. Heidi
