Diet Sodas?
Cecil I am glad you brought this up. I can drink diet pepsi slurpees by the gallon and actually enjoy them very much. So I thought I would try just a sip of reg. diet vanilla coke. That SIP caused me to continously dry heave for the next hour and have that want to throw up feeling the rest of the day. Until now I have never dumped on ANYTHING. I guess all good things must come to a end. But to give my opinion on your question, if your doctor says its ok and your body will tolerate it, go for it! Good Luck

i've tried it; but they taste awful. I used to drink over a 6 pack of soda a day; now I can't stand the taste of soda (regular or diet). Other than water; herbal mint tea is my favorite drink; and an occasional cup of rice milk. as mentioned above; if your doc says it's o.k.; and you tolerate it. go for it.

For what it is worth, I prefer Perrier with a bit of unsweetened koolaid and then add a touch of Splenda, and I do usually let the fizz air itself out a bit. I have found Walmart carries Perrier at a decent price. The lemon or lime flavored works great when you are mixing it with something else.

I'm going to stay away from Soda (any kind of carbonation) as much as I can. Once in a while I crave one, but so far, so good. I hope I can stay away from it forever. My surgeon does say that if you HAVE to have one to at least let it go really flat first. I don't want one THAT bad )Thank Heavens).
I think Pop is a gray area and a personal decision for each individual...
Good Luck to you!
