I gained 18 lbs. in 4 days!!!

Knew that title line would get your attention! Hi everyone. I had my hernia repair on 4/1/04 and was in the hospital for four days and yes, I gained 18 pounds thanks to all the fluids that were pumped into my body! So far I have lost eleven pounds of tha****er weight but, boy, talk about major mental depression! Good thing is that everything was pushed back into place and the abdomen should look pretty good once the swelling goes down. I had some problems with low blood pressure and pulse rate but I guess I was pretty dehydrated. Hence, the fluids! Just wanted to check in with everybody and hope everybody is having a great week! Yes, you scared me to death!!!! I had my surgery the same day you had yours, and I also have to have a ventral hernia repair on April the 30th. Thanks. I don't look forward to gaining weight. So I guess I won't get on the scale until I feel the water weight is down. Don't want to get depressed you know. I'm having too much fun!!!!! Hope you have a speedy recovery. Chiyako James

I just wanted to do a quick update! I lost tha****er weight in a week. Yeah me!!! I saw my surgeon last week, had my staples and drain out and was basically released from his care. I started exercising again yesterday, which was my five month anniversary. As of today I have lost 122 pounds! Life is truly good! Mary 345/223/160
