I had my surgery in November, I have lost 90 Lbs. But I can not eat any Pasta, meat I can eat in very little quantities. Can anyone give me suggestions on what to eat? I eat salad, mashed potatoes, shrimp and Imitation Crab but I need more of a variety of foods, that get boring after a while. Please help me, Thanks, Tammy

I too have a hard time with Pastas, or Breads, or Potatoes. Have you tried the Budding lunch meats. I eat them a lot on salads, with cheese, etc. Anthor thing I just found and love is Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal. It has 9 grams of protein per 1 cup serving, so I eat that in the morning like popcorn. My lastest craving has been scallops so I bought a bunch when the grocer had them on sale. I also eat string cheese, sunflower seeds, corned beef hash, I eat chili but pick out the large chunks of meat, A really easy meat to digest is one of those Turkey Loafs, I am not sure of the nutritional valu, but it has always settled good with me. I am also on a Beet and radishs kick right now. I don't know how you are with sugars but for about a months or so I was eating a banana and peanut butter for breakfast. My dietician also said that I should eat Gogurt. It is really pretty good. I put them in the freezer and eat them like a push up. I have been on a salad kick lately, but I cannot handle a lot of lettuce, so I make a salad with a little lettuce, then add meat and cheese, and almonds, and hard boiled eggs, things that I know are high in protein. I even was eating Sushi for a couple of days. It was the first time I tried it and liked it so I ate that for a few days. Its one of those things you have to try it to see how you will react. My doctor and dietician have told me the only thing to say away from is high amounts of sugar, cause that may cause dumping, and soda pop.

I know this is a little late I just found this board tonight, thought I would take a look around. I had my surgery 11/10/2003 and have lost 80 lbs so far. I like chili, and deli meats and cheeses. I eat alot of cheese and crackers, for a snack I will have 4 captains crackers and a piece of cheese. Good luck Janette
