A typical daily menu.
Breakfast is usually 4 oz of cottage cheese. Lunch is a one-egg cheese omelet or tuna salad on crackers. Snack, Dannon low carb yogurt or string cheese or soy nuts; sometimes mixed nuts if I really want a treat, or chicken broth with a couple of saltines. Dinner will be any type of whitefish, chili, or a lean hamburger patty. I have trouble mixing more then one type of food. I can eat the fish but if I try to have some veggies or salad with it I am asking for trouble. I don't have to worry about drinking with meals because if I do I become ill. There are bad food days and when they happen I make sure I get down an Isopure clear protein drink. I do get in at least 50 oz of water and try to get more. Everyone once in awhile I'll try something new but usually can only manage a couple of bites. It's just easier to stick with the tried and true.

Wow! You eat Soy nuts? LOL - they are dangerous for me and everyone in my family- we tried them and all spent the day far away from each other if you know what I mean!! LOL (I'm the only one who had the surgery too - so it wasnt' just that) Just thought I'd share my little soy nut experience with you !! We all got a big kick out of it. Keep up the great work!

I usually have a Dannon no fat yogurt with flaxseed mixed in for breakfast. For lunch it's usually some type of leftover. Today it was a slice of pizza. Late in the afternoon I'll have a metrx rtd40 protein shake. At some point during the day I'll have some type of fruit. For dinner chicken or steak. I usually don't snack. I drink around 50 oz of fluids. I exercise but not as much as I should...at least 2 times a week.
My surgery was Nov. 7th...I've lost 56lbs
All the best,
Charity
I start my day with a protein drink; like Fuzzy Naval; or Strawberry Kiwi; from Bariatriceating.com. I include some yoguart; and 3 or 4 pieces of fruit. Usually mango; or cantalope; or strawberries. If I get hungry during the morning I usualy have a banana. Lunch is either chili; deli sliced turkey or chicken and lately I have been craving cucumbers with basamic vinegar (o.k. so I can't spell basalmic ??) Dinner what ever my DW cooks; and I eat just a few ounces. If I snack; it's usually mixed nuts or string cheese or SF Fruit juice bars. I struggle to get my water in on the weekends. When I'm at my office it's much easier as the bottle is there on the desk whereas at home I'm running around ALOT and don't take water with me all the time. Todate I have lost 100 lbs; my surgery was Nov. 3
breakfast is usually a yogurt , I sometimes have some nuts or fruit as snacks and lunch and dinner are usually chick with some kind of veggie. I get in about 40 oz of water or tea or something and I try to drink at least one glass of milk a day. I take all my supplements including one from Walmart called 'hair skin and nails'. Its in a pink box and helps strengthen your hair and all. I was unable to eat leafy veggies until about a week ago so Im really happy about salads again and even celery with pb on it. I dont drink the protien drinks like I was told I should but I do usually have one of the Detour bars every 2 days...30g of protien is hard to resist. I also find that when I get low on eating veggies that one small can of V8(its like 4oz I think) is the same as one serving.
