OT: Longaberger Baskets

Just wondering if anyone out there knows about and buys longaberger baskets? Angie

Angie, I know a little about Longerberger Baskets. I have bought a few and have attended many Longerberger parties. I personally like their pottery better though. What is it that you wanted to know? Carolyn

Carolyn, I was really just curious as to how popular they are in other areas. In this area it is HUGE becasue of Fort Leavenworth. I recently became a consultant so I just wanted to know what people out side of here thought of it. I love the pottery also. I got hooked on the baskets but once I tried the pottery I fell in love. I'm piece by piece getting the whole collection. I don't like to use anything else anymore! Thanks Angie

They are very big especially in and near military bases, which makes me laugh in a way, knowing many military familys who claim poverty all the time yet collect these baskets. In my opinion they are way too expensive, and lacking in the style, unless your decor is country. You can easily find baskets of the same quality virtually at any craft store now a days for a fraction of the price if baskets are what you like. This is my opinion, and I wish you luck in your new job, you have the potential of making money. Please don't take offense to my response, I am just answering your question.
