potassium supplements??

hi all; went to my 3 month follow up appointment and the doc said all is fine. Then went to see my primary care doc; he is worried saying I am anemic and my potassium has dropped and he is concerned about that. Interesting that the weight loss surgeron didn't bring it up. maybe I'm just border line and my primary care doc is being cautious or overly cautious. any body else had this explained to them? one month after surgery my potassium was 4.0 and now it is 3.5. Doctors will drive me thanks. mark g.

3.5 - 5 is normal. Maybe they're worried because you've dropped in a month. I haven't had this problem but have heard of post ops having trouble with this. Get your bananas out! Take care, Kristen
